Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between Zoora and the Organization that signs up for Zoora. The Organization is the party to the agreement.

The Users of an Organization access the service under that Organization's agreement.

Using Zoora means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Zoora.

Throughout this text these words carry the following meanings:

• Organization: the subscriber to the service. Every User, every Class, and every record in Zoora belongs to one Organization — and to only one.
• User: an identity inside a single Organization. If one person is present in two Organizations, they have two separate accounts.
• Manager: the Organization's steward in Zoora; they manage Users, roles, and invoices across the whole Organization.
• Teacher: a User who runs a Class and grades coursework.
• Student: a User who is enrolled in a Class and takes part in it.
• Class: a teaching group; an owner together with the Students enrolled in it.
• Live Session: a Class's online session with video and audio, hosted by one of the Users.

The Organization's Manager creates and removes User accounts and sets each User's role and permissions.

A username and password are personal and must not be handed to anyone else.

The Organization and its Users are responsible for the activity carried out with their accounts.

If you think an account has been compromised, report it to support@zoora.ir.

User accounts are created by the Organization, not by the User; a Student cannot sign up on Zoora directly.

Where a user is under 18, the Organization confirms by creating the account that it has the legal authority to do so and has obtained the consent required — including parental or guardian consent, to the extent the law requires it — to create the account, to record sessions that user appears in, and to process their coursework.

Zoora does not enter into a contract with a user under 18; the party to the agreement is the Organization. Obtaining these consents and keeping them on file is the Organization's responsibility.

Which features an Organization can use depends on that Organization's plan.

Session recording, text chat, AI-assisted grading, advanced anti-cheat features, and custom roles are available only on some plans. There is also a demo plan.

Plans and their limits can change. A change that affects a paid plan is announced to the Organization before it takes effect.

Invoices for paid plans are issued in the Organization's name.

Payment is made online through the payment gateway. Zoora keeps the invoice and the payment record; bank card details never reach Zoora.

Every invoice must be paid by the deadline stated on it. An unpaid invoice can lead to features being restricted or the Organization's account being suspended.

Amounts are in the currency shown on the invoice, and tax is added where the law requires it. Refunds are considered case by case; write to support@zoora.ir about one.

Zoora is a tool for teaching, and we expect the Organization and its Users to use it in that frame. The following is not allowed:

• Posting unlawful content, or content that infringes someone else's rights — copyright included.
• Harassing or threatening others, or publishing their private information.
• Trying to bypass or disable anti-cheat features, or helping someone else do so.
• Trying to reach another Organization's data, or probing, overloading, or disrupting the service.
• Extracting data automatically or in bulk, outside the facilities the service itself provides.
• Reselling access or handing it to someone else without a written agreement with us.
• Uploading malware.

Ignoring these rules can lead to content being removed or access being suspended.

Everything the Organization and its Users put into Zoora — content, quizzes, recording files, messages, and coursework — stays the Organization's own, and ownership does not change hands.

So that the service can work, the Organization grants Zoora only the permission needed to store, transmit, display, back up, and process that content — for the Organization's own use. This permission covers keeping the recording files of Live Sessions and, where the Organization turns it on, sending the text of answers for AI-assisted grading.

The same permission extends to the external service providers named in the Privacy Policy — such as hosting and storage, live audio and video delivery, and AI processing — doing these same things on our behalf and within these same limits. Without this permission, the service cannot technically be provided.

Zoora does not use an Organization's content for advertising, or for any purpose beyond providing this service.

The host of a Live Session can record the session. A recording covers video, audio, and the shared screen, and its file is kept in the Organization's storage.

It is the Organization's responsibility to inform participants that a session is being recorded and to obtain any consent the law requires. Zoora does not notify participants or collect their consent on the Organization's behalf.

Broadcasting, publishing, or handing out a session recording outside the Organization, without the consent of the people in it, is not allowed.

For part of its work Zoora relies on external providers: hosting and storage space, real-time video and audio, online payment, delivering notifications to phones and browsers, and AI processing. If a User links their own phone number or a Telegram or Bale account to receive notifications, their notifications also pass through that service.

What these providers do with data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

An outage at one of these providers can disrupt the corresponding feature in Zoora as well.

We try to keep Zoora available and to do maintenance work at the times that cause the least disruption.

Even so, these terms commit to no particular level of availability, and we do not offer a service level agreement.

Features of the service may be added, changed, or removed.

An Organization can stop using Zoora at any time and ask us to close its account.

Zoora may suspend or close an account in these cases: an unpaid invoice, a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where the law so requires. We tell the Organization before we do so, unless an immediate stop is needed to protect the service or other users.

Before the account is closed, the Organization must export the data it wants to keep. Once the Organization's account is deleted outright, the stored files are purged in the way set out in the Privacy Policy.

Zoora is provided "as is". We work to keep the service stable and correct, but we do not guarantee that it is free of faults or never interrupted.

In particular, we do not guarantee exam integrity. Some anti-cheat features — such as leaving-the-page warnings or preventing a return to an earlier question — rely on the cooperation of the student's browser and can be circumvented. They are an aid to the Teacher, not a replacement for human supervision, and their output is not conclusive proof of cheating.

The video and audio quality of a Live Session depends on the participants' internet connection and devices, and it is outside our control. We keep backups of an Organization's data, but keeping your own copy of important content is the Organization's responsibility.

To the extent the law allows, Zoora is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profit, lost data, and lost opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Both the service and these terms can change.

Every time these terms are revised, the update date at the top of this page changes, and we tell Organizations about significant changes through the service itself.

Continuing to use Zoora after a change means accepting the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Disputes fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tehran.

Before that, the two sides will try to settle a dispute directly, by talking it through.

These terms are published in Persian and English.
